The right voice at the right moment

A DJ and an emcee, in one booking

Most events need two jobs done well. Someone who reads a room and plays the right song. Someone who picks up the mic, welcomes your guests, and keeps the timeline moving. You get both from one person who has been doing it since 1993.

Tarcy has spent 33 years on the mic, including radio from 1997 to 2010. That experience shows up in the small things that make an event feel handled. Knowing when to talk and when to stay quiet. Reading whether the room wants one more slow song or is ready to move. Landing an announcement so it feels natural instead of forced. You get someone who runs the flow of your event so you can actually enjoy the day instead of watching the clock.

Every event is different, and that is the point. A wedding in a Sherwood Park hall, a corporate awards evening in downtown Edmonton, a gala fundraiser, a milestone birthday. Day or evening, formal or loose, the job is the same: know your event, read your guests, and make the whole thing feel effortless from the front.

How an event actually flows

From the first guest to the last song

The formal moments

Ceremonies, toasts, first dances, award presentations. These are the parts people remember and the parts that go sideways when the timing is off. Perfect timing during your ceremony and every formal moment is the part we take most seriously.

Guests seated for dinner in a large Edmonton gala ballroom

Dinner and background

Atmospheric background music through dinner that fills the room without making anyone raise their voice to talk. The kind of sound you feel more than notice, set at the right level for the space and the crowd.

The dance floor

The dance floor soundtrack that nobody forgets. Reading the room song by song, mixing the requests your guests actually want to hear, and keeping the energy up right through to the last song of the evening.

The other half of the job

Your emcee for the whole timeline

A good emcee is the difference between an event that flows and an event that stalls. When you book the DJ, you get the host too. That means welcoming your guests, walking through the order of the day, making the announcements, and keeping every part of the program on schedule so nothing runs long or gets forgotten.

For a wedding that looks like coordinating the grand entrance, cueing the speeches, and moving smoothly from dinner into dancing. For a corporate event it means running the awards, introducing your speakers, and handling the transitions so your team can focus on the room instead of the clock. You tell us how your event should run. We keep it running, out loud, in front of your guests, so you never have to grab a microphone yourself.

Reducing the stress of planning is our commitment to you.Advanced Entertainment

Based in Edmonton, on the road often

Sound that works in any room, anywhere

Professional sound comes with your booking. No renting gear from somewhere else, no guessing whether the room will sound right. We bring a system sized to your space and set it so speeches are clear and the dance floor has punch, whether that is a small private room or a full gala ballroom.

Home base is Edmonton and we work across the whole area, from the river valley to Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Leduc and beyond. We also travel well past the city. We have brought events to life from Golden and Dawson Creek in BC to Saskatoon and Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan. If your event is a drive from Edmonton, ask us. Chances are we have already been near there.

Booking one company for more than the music makes the whole day simpler. Stream-Flo booked their casino, DJ and AV in a single booking with us, and that one-call approach is how a lot of our clients run their events. If you want the room to look and sound handled from one place, we can pair the DJ and hosting with audio-visual and lighting so everything matches.

Questions we hear a lot

DJ and hosting, answered

Does the DJ also act as the emcee?

Yes. The same person on the music handles the hosting. That means welcoming guests, making announcements, running the timeline and cueing the formal moments, all from one booking. You never have to hand a microphone to a friend and hope it goes well.

Is professional sound included?

It is. Your booking comes with a professional sound system sized to your room and set for clear speeches and a full dance floor. There is nothing extra to rent and no separate gear to arrange.

Do you travel outside Edmonton?

Often. We are based in Edmonton and cover the whole surrounding area, and we travel across Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. We have done events from Golden and Dawson Creek BC to Saskatoon and Moose Jaw SK. Tell us where your event is and we will let you know.

Can we give you a playlist and songs to avoid?

Please do. We build the music around your event and your guests. Send the songs you want, the ones you would rather skip, and any moments that need a specific track. At your event we read the room and take requests on top of your list.

What kinds of events do you DJ?

Weddings, corporate events, galas, fundraisers, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and community events. Day or evening, formal or casual. With 33 years on the mic there are very few rooms we have not worked.

Can we book the DJ with other services?

Yes, and a lot of clients do. You can pair the DJ and hosting with AV and lighting, a fun-money casino, or a photo booth, all in one booking so your whole event comes from one team.
